My daughter is into dressing like Selena Gomez’s character, Alex Russo, on Wizards of Waverly Place. It’s actually been pretty easy to find similar outfits. My daughter has been listening to Selena Gomez constantly! Whether it’s music from Wizards of Waverly Place or Selena’s CD “Kiss  and Tell,” she’s always playing the CD or listening to Selena on her iPod. When she heard that she might be able to get Selena Gomez concert tickets for next summer, she went crazy.

The good news is that Selena is saying that she may be going on tour. The bad news is that there are currently only a couple of dates for which you can get Selena Gomez concert tickets. My daughter has now decided that she wants to decorate her room like Wizards of Waverly Place. The good news is that we didn’t invest very much in decorating her room when we moved into our new house. The bad news is that true WOWP decorations are hard to find.

You can start with the Wizards of Waverly Place bedding collection from Sears. I don’t think that it will last long because it is on sale right now. They have a comforter, valance, pillow shams, and more. Alex Russo is on the majority of it.

Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie is now available on DVD. I didn’t even realize that it wasn’t on DVD yet because we have had it recorded on our Tivo since it debuted on the Disney Channel months ago. Now that it is on DVD I can order it for my girls and make more room on my Tivo!

The premise of the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie is that Alex accidentally casts a spell that results in her parents never getting together. The kids must work together to reverse the spell and save their family. Remember that scene in Back to the Future where the kid in the picture starts to fade out because the parents never met? It’s a lot like that only with a good dose of magic.

The movie truly was good for the whole family. My 6-year-old and 9-year-old have watched it over and over and even my husband and I don’t mind watching it now and again. It’s a good message about family having to work together and stick together. If your kids are WOWP fans or Selena Gomez fans, it is a “must buy.”

The version available on Amazon is the “Extended Edition” that features some exclusive footage, behind-the-scenes shots, and extras about the WOWP world of wizardry. Perfect for the true fans!

My daughter saw a commercial the other day for some kind of Wizards of Waverly Place doll. All she could tell me was that it was an Alex Russo doll that you put water on and it did something “magic.” After a little searching around, I found what she was talking about. Interestingly, the price of it really varies depending on where you get it. Be sure to compare things like shipping and handling as well. If your kids are fans of the Disney Channel, they probably watch a number of different shows. That’s in part what makes “Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana” such a success. It’s 68 minutes of cross-over between the shows Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana, and the Suite Life on Deck. Although it was originally 3 different episodes that aired on Disney Channel, you can now get the DVD for about $15. In addition to the three episodes, the DVD also has special features including bloopers, backstage interviews, and a Hannah Montana video.

The best price that I found Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana was Amazon for $14.49. Here’s a little clip of the show:
