Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie is now available on DVD. I didn’t even realize that it wasn’t on DVD yet because we have had it recorded on our Tivo since it debuted on the Disney Channel months ago. Now that it is on DVD I can order it for my girls and make more room on my Tivo!
The premise of the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie is that Alex accidentally casts a spell that results in her parents never getting together. The kids must work together to reverse the spell and save their family. Remember that scene in Back to the Future where the kid in the picture starts to fade out because the parents never met? It’s a lot like that only with a good dose of magic.
The movie truly was good for the whole family. My 6-year-old and 9-year-old have watched it over and over and even my husband and I don’t mind watching it now and again. It’s a good message about family having to work together and stick together. If your kids are WOWP fans or Selena Gomez fans, it is a “must buy.”
The version available on Amazon is the “Extended Edition” that features some exclusive footage, behind-the-scenes shots, and extras about the WOWP world of wizardry. Perfect for the true fans!

The remake of the Pilot song “Magic” by Selena Gomez for the Wizards of Waverly Place movie has become quite a hit! It’s being played on Radio Disney all of the time. If you have a budding musician in your house, you might want to check out Musicnotes.com to download the sheet music.

My kids really love Magic, and it’s cool to hear a song that I know redone by someone that they love!
Our family just got done watching the Wizards of Waverly Place Movie on the Disney Channel and I have to say that it was really cute. It was kind of a modern day Back to the Future. A child makes a decision that results in their parents not getting together and risks losing their whole family because of it.
These days it can be hard to find movies that kids really like but parents find entertaining as well. I was glad to see a movie that our whole family could agree on!
